1. Agreement to Terms

By engaging Big Easy Home Tint ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") for window tinting services, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not proceed with our services.

2. Services

Big Easy Home Tint provides professional window film installation services for residential and commercial properties in the Greater New Orleans area. Our services include consultation, film selection recommendations, professional installation, and warranty support.

3. Quotes and Pricing

All quotes provided are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified. Quotes are based on information provided during the consultation and may be adjusted if actual conditions differ from what was assessed. Final pricing will be confirmed before work begins.

Quotes include labor, materials, and standard cleanup. Additional charges may apply for unusual window configurations, difficult access requirements, or removal of existing film.

4. Payment Terms

For residential projects, payment is due upon completion of installation unless other arrangements have been made in writing. For commercial projects, payment terms will be outlined in the project proposal and may include deposits for larger projects.

We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. A service fee may apply to credit card transactions for amounts over $1,000.

5. Scheduling and Access

Installation appointments are scheduled based on mutual availability. We will make reasonable efforts to arrive within the scheduled time window. If we anticipate a delay, we will notify you as soon as possible.

You are responsible for ensuring clear access to all windows to be filmed. Furniture, window treatments, and other obstructions should be moved away from windows prior to our arrival. If our crew must move items, we cannot be responsible for damage to those items.

6. Window Condition

Window film is applied to the interior surface of existing glass. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions including scratches, chips, cracks, seal failures, or defects in the glass itself. If we identify window issues during installation, we will notify you and you may choose to proceed or exclude those windows from the project.

Some older or non-standard windows may not be suitable for certain films. We will advise you during the consultation if any limitations apply to your windows.

7. Curing Period

After installation, window film requires a curing period of 15 to 30 days depending on weather conditions. During this time, you may notice small water bubbles, a hazy appearance, or soft spots. This is normal and will resolve as the film fully adheres to the glass.

Do not clean the filmed windows during the curing period. Do not attempt to push out bubbles or adjust the film yourself.

8. Warranty

Window films installed by Big Easy Home Tint carry manufacturer warranties that vary by product. Warranty details, including coverage period and terms, will be provided in writing with your quote and again upon project completion.

Warranties typically cover defects in materials including bubbling, peeling, cracking, and discoloration under normal conditions. Warranties do not cover damage caused by improper cleaning, physical abuse, glass breakage, or failure of the underlying window.

To make a warranty claim, contact us with your original invoice and a description of the issue. We will inspect the installation and coordinate with the manufacturer if a warranty replacement is needed.

9. Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the cost of the window film installation for the affected windows. We are not liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages including but not limited to lost profits, property damage unrelated to our installation, or personal injury not directly caused by our negligence.

Window film is designed to reduce heat, glare, and UV exposure, but results may vary based on window orientation, building construction, and other factors. We do not guarantee specific energy savings or temperature reductions.

10. Cancellation

You may cancel a scheduled installation with at least 48 hours notice without penalty. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover scheduling costs.

If you cancel after materials have been ordered or cut specifically for your project, you may be responsible for the cost of those materials.

11. Dispute Resolution

If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us immediately. We are committed to resolving issues promptly and fairly. Most concerns can be addressed through direct communication.

Any disputes that cannot be resolved directly will be governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana. Venue for any legal proceedings will be in Orleans Parish, Louisiana.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and will apply to services contracted after the posting date. The terms in effect at the time you contract for services will govern that project.
